    The Salty Babe is a women's casual beach lifestyle boutique. We're here to support and enrich an active, fun-loving lifestyle with effortless everyday items. We are a locally owned business with 3 stores across the country and growing We are currently looking for a Manager to join our team at our Salty Babe Newport store As Manager you are responsible for the daily operation of the store. Must have excellent problem solving skills while working in a face paced and fun environment

    The ideal candidate will have an ability to manage the daily operations of the retail store and complete tasks related to inventory tracking, marketing and customer service. They should be a confident salesperson and be able to share their best practices in order to onboard new employees. This candidate should also possess strong leadership skills and be able to assign duties to relevant employees in order to maintain the function of the store.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage daily operations of business and ensure sales goals are met
    • Direct employees in daily operations such as serving customers, inventory taking, reconciling cash and managing in store marketing
    • Assigns duties to relevant employees
    • Conduct hiring and onboarding of new employees
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
    • Track and manage inventory at store

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of retail and retail management experience Demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson
    • Strong customer service, management and communication skills
    • Flexible schedule required
    • Proven ability to problem solve and motivate self/staff
    • Passionate about customer service
    • Always cheerful and positive
    • Ability to be adaptable and flexible
    • Enjoys being independent
    • Must be tech savvy (Shopify, Square, Google sheets...)
    • This position requires at least 12-18 month commitment to the company in this role. We want to ensure continuity of service for both our current staff as well as our customers. This position is expected to start ASAP.
