• Recreation Therapist

Annual Salary Range:
$95,640 - $112,560

Recreation Therapists in an inpatient unit will receive:
$109,992 - $129,444

Work Locations:

• Wide Variety of Geographic Settings including the Northern California Coast, San Francisco Bay Area, California Capitol, and Southern California

Working within a facility of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, you will play a key role in helping adult patients develop the necessary skills and emotional stability for a successful community reintegration.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, instructing, and encouraging patients in individual and group physical, social, or cultural activities
• Planning treatment goals for specific patients
• Preparing clinical notes for medical files
• Coordinating recreational therapy efforts with patients' mental health and medical plans

Special Requirements:

• Current certification or eligibility from the California Board of Recreation and Parks and/or the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification, Inc.
• Graduation with a Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or recreation and leisure studies
