Job Summary

The R&D Technician position performs all tasks involved in the pharmaceutical process following company standards and SOP's. Tasks include all solid dose production techniques including wet granulation, dry granulation, tablet compression, encapsulation, tablet coating.

Responsibilities

• Assist Formulator in product development of trial batches for oral solid dose formations.
• Perform cleaning of R&D equipment.
• Perform sampling of raw materials.
• Thorough understanding of GLP requirements and safety practices must be exhibited.
• Operate and troubleshoot a variety of R&D machinery.
• Working closely with team associates for achievement of R&D standards.
• Follow SOP's and Batch Manufacturing Process.
• Work as a High-Performance Team member supporting all aspects of team performance.
• Maintain documentation for equipment and R&D experiments.
• Report all safety concerns and hazards immediately.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in using R&D equipment for granulation, blending, compression, coating, etc. for oral solid dosage form.
• Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented and flexible to meet business needs and adapt to changing assignments.
• Highly motivated and self-driven with a desire to continuously improve own skill set.
• Ability to function productively under supervision.
• Good organizational skills, detail oriented.
