Project Engineer
Hybrid – 2x per week Onsite – Tuesday and Wednesday
Merrillville, IN

Duration: 12 Months

Required Qualifications for Position:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university or

college

Minimum 5 years' experience in one or more of the following: engineering experience in a

utility-based environment, project management

Must have the ability to lead and function in multi-discipline teams.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat a plus

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

PMI PMP Certification
Professional Engineers License
Advanced Knowledge of the processes associated with Fossil Power, Hydro Power, and/or

Renewables.

Experience working at a generating station or major project group

Responsibilities:
under the direction of a senior project engineer or project manager. Demonstrate effective control of project cost expenditures.
monthly report on project performance metrics; Coordinate or direct the work of external consultants.

an understanding of the numerous department stakeholders expectations and expert contributions and how they can contribute to the project success.

and Manage project safety, participate in incident investigations; Support the development and implementation of the company's project management tools, standards, and processes to support the implementation of capital and maintenance programs within US.

start by using established procedures under direct supervision to conduct work and ongoing training to working under general guidance, working on routine business process by assisting business technical and professionals in a variety of business areas.

projects relating to capacity and expense maintenance projects with respect to Natural Gas Projects. Provide budget input and assist in preparing the Decision summaries.
cost estimating with input from the Engineering team during the definition phase.
all Project Work Authorizations.
sub-phases of projects during the implementation phase.
project execution plans and schedules, project proposals and regulatory applications, liaison and guidance on matters relating to project controls.
in incident investigations.
the implementation of company project management tools, standards, and processes to support the implementation of capital and maintenance programs.
