    Senior Cost Accounting Analyst
    $800M SEC Life Sciences Company- Greater Boston, MA$90-95K+ profit sharing plan

    THE SIZZLE:
    • Role is hybrid - will be close to inventory and will need to go in accordingly, but flexible
    • Must have cost experience with products, be able to design a cost program, strong excel skills
    • Targeting 5 years of experience with cost accounting experience, manufacturing environment preferred

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    • A Bachelor's degree in either Accounting or Finance is required; MBA, CMA or CPA is a plus.
    • 5 plus years of relevant financial experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
    • Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience required.
    • Previous experience in a publicly traded company a plus.
    • Experience with accounting software applications, ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite required. Knowledge of the Oracle Cloud ERP is a plus.
    • Demonstrated strength in communications and ability to multi-task in complex and dynamic environments.
    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Support monthly financial close activities including accuracy of manufacturing general ledger for the inventory group of accounts.
    • Lead continuous process improvement projects for E&O reviews and onboarding of new acquisitions as they move to company cost accounting.
    • Support the Cost Accounting Function, including E&O reviews, Physical Inventories, cycle counts and inventory management
    • Drive solutions for root cause and variances to standard costs (Purchase Price Variances, Work Order Variances, and Overhead Absorption)
    • Enhance reports and tools to understand/explain results.
    • Prepare data analysis on the performance of key business metrics.
    • Prepare margin analysis and variance analysis as required and communicate financial results and trends to senior finance leadership.
    • Prepare SOX Controls and Balance Sheet Reconciliations for quarterly and year end audits.
    • Prepare overhead application rates on an annual basis.
    • Develop and report headlight metrics.
    • Analyze and interpret data trends and present results.
    • Prepare ad hoc reporting and analyses and assist the team with research on cost accounting questions and assist with special projects, as requested.
    • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.
