    Job Description
    We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Quality Manager.

    The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical manufacturing industry.

    Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Assistant Quality Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving our product quality standards.

    This position will involve managing a supervisor and a department of 15 employees.

    Responsibilities:

    Quality Assurance Oversight:

    Collaborate with the QA Manager to develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.


    Supervision:
    Lead and mentor a team of quality control technicians and specialists. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team meets performance goals and maintains high levels of productivity and accuracy.

    Process Improvement:
    Continuously evaluate existing quality control processes and recommend improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency. Implement approved changes as necessary.

    Quality Audits:

    Assist in conducting internal and external quality audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


    Documentation:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.

    Training:
    Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of quality control personnel.

    Product Testing:
    Oversee and manage product testing and sampling procedures, ensuring that all products meet or exceed established quality standards.

    Root Cause Analysis:
    Investigate and address product quality issues by conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

    Regulatory Compliance:
    Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards, ensuring the company's quality control processes remain in compliance.

    Reporting:
    Prepare and present regular reports on quality control performance to the QA Manager and senior management.

    Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as production and R&D, to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.


    Budget Management:
    Assist in managing the department's budget, including expenses related to personnel, equipment, and materials.

    Job Requirements

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as food science, chemistry, biology, or a related discipline.

    Experience:

    A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and control within the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical manufacturing industry.


    Leadership Skills:
    Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, including a supervisor and a department of 15 employees.

    Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analyses.

    Regulatory Knowledge:
    Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and quality standards.

    Communication:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively.

    Attention to Detail:
    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy in quality control processes.

    Computer Skills:
    Proficiency in quality control software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Quality Certifications:
    Relevant quality certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ, CQE) are a plus.
