- Assembles fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
- Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications
- Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
- Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed components
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to read simple blueprint and schematics
- Understanding of quality measures
- Various knowledge of manufacturing power tools
- Understand math functions including simple math, decimals and fractions
- Must be willing and able to work any shift
- Ability to operate a crane and industrial truck
- Ability to climb repeatedly and work from heights off ladders, platforms and scaffolds
- Repeated bending, reaching above head, climbing and kneeling
- Repeated straight pulling and pushing
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Walking on slippery or uneven surfaces
- Exposure to constant noise 90 DBA
- Able to distinguish basic colors
- Exposure to fumes/smoke from burning, paint vapors, and dust
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 45+ lbs
- Must be willing to work in tobacco-free environment
