About the Practice
Our team performs over 3,000 image-guided pediatric interventions annually
, with year-over-year growth exceeding 20%. We are the only dedicated pediatric IR program in Orange County and serve as a critical hub for patients across the region.
CHOC is unique in that Interventional Radiology is an independent department
purpose-built and equipped with dedicated capital investment
, not repurposed from other service lines. The department was developed specifically for pediatric IR and opened in 2025 with entirely new infrastructure and technology. This institutional design reflects CHOC s deep commitment to the long-term success and autonomy of the IR service line, enabling strategic growth, programmatic development, and physician well-being.
