Job summary
The Cardiovascular Invasive Technician is responsible to surgically scrub in and assist with equipment. Assists the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures is a secondary assignment.Responsibilities
- Assists Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, diagnostic and interventional, peripheral and coronary, interventional and thrombolytic therapy.
- Preparing and maintaining sterile 1 fields for lab procedures; printing film and calculating stenosis on peripheral cases; circulating in procedure rooms and collecting data on appropriate forms; monitoring patient's ECG and vital signs while in Catheterization Lab, notifying Physician of variances, and providing emergency procedures (CPR, defibrillation, etc.) as needed.
