    Description

    Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.

    Graduate LPN $3,000Experienced LPN $4,000Cardiac Med Intermediate LPN - Weekender24 hours per week, NightsMercy Hospital JeffersonFestus, MO 63028We are also known as the Progressive Care Unit or PCU.

    Our unit is an intermediate unit that is a step down from our intensive care but a step above med/surg as far as patient acuity
    Cardiac, Respiratory distress, Septic.
    No vents. - Mainly serve cardiac patients, also acute respiratory (no vents/but high flow ) 02 needs/new bipap, etc.

    then mix of any other disease process in which the physicians determine patient is too sick for floor; but not yet ICU level of care.

    Fast paced unit combining aspects of ED and ICU into one departmentbusyness of ED & critical care aspect of ICU.

    Requires and builds strong assessment skills and teamwork

    Qualifications:
    Required Education:Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school

    License:
    current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days

    Certifications:
    Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, IV Certification within 1 year.
