NEEDED: DENTAL HYGIENIST

LOCATION: 201 FCI Lane, Glenville, WV 26351

HOURS: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, normally between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (flexibility is required)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess and submit evidentiary documentation of your graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene.
• Be certified/licensed as a Dental Hygienist in the State of West Virginia.
• Must submit photocopies of their license and/or board certification.
• Have at least one or more years of experience.
• Be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Shall provide the following Dental Hygienist services, which include, but are not limited to, the items listed below:

• Will generally work under the supervision of the staff Dentist; however, may be required to work under the supervision of the Clinical Director or a BOP mid-level practitioner.
• Responsible for personal health care needs and costs associated with exposure, or possible exposure to any blood borne pathogen or other risk encountered during performance of this contract.
• Provide dental prophylaxis on inmates who are referred by the dental staff
• Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions to each patient
• Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis
• Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the dentist
• Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other instruments as specified by the dental staff
• Perform necessary paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis as directed by the dental staff
