- Provide and perform professional psychiatric services.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, treatment oversight, and medical management.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and assist in the development of behavioral/treatment plans.
- Prepare reports and use electronic health record system for documentation.
- Licensed Psychiatrist in New York State, with NYS Board Licensure
- Professional Liability Insurance
- Experience with AWARDS and Connections is not necessary, but is a plus
- Familiarity and comfort with the DSM V diagnostic criteria
- Proven excellence in clinical skills, with the ability to effectively and efficiently complete progress notes following client sessions
- Excellent organization, planning and time management skills; ability to keep calendar availability up to date to enable efficient client appointment scheduling
- Proficiency in various computer applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Business Workspace Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Meet, Sheets); and secure Internet practices
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; capacity to exhibit empathy for those in need
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment
- Ability to work both autonomously as a self-starter, and collaboratively as a team member.
- The consultant role will have full and complete access to client Protected Health Information (PHI) in order to carry out their duties and responsibilities. Therefore, the ability to meet HIPAA requirements and maintain strict client confidentiality is essential.

Our multi-faceted programs are designed to offer hope, foster growth, and improve the lives of the children, families, and adults we serve. We offer residential and therapeutic foster care programs for children and youth, Kinship support, homeless and community-based services for adults and families, a special education elementary school for ages 5-13, and so much more.

Our spectrum of services for children, families and individuals suffering from the lasting effects of abuse and neglect, family instability, mental illness, homelessness and other ongoing traumas, continues to grow. Services to be provided include, but are not limited to:
Psychiatric consultation services for the Day Treatment programs, to include work with individuals receiving services that present the more complex behavioral and/or mental health problems. Such services are centered around children and families, and include the following:
Total hours for the above services will not be more than 8 hours per week.
