    Job Summary/Basic Function The Chemistry Department at Dickinson College seeks applicants for a visiting faculty position starting August 2024 in the area of organic chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, and/or biologically-relevant chemistry.

    We are most interested in candidates with the ability to teach courses in organic chemistry and biochemistry.

    Candidates should have a PhD in chemistry or a closely related field, and those with interdisciplinary expertise are of particular interest.

    Faculty at Dickinson teach a five-course load, and this position would include a senior seminar in the candidate's area of expertise and organic and/or biochemistry lecture and/or labs.

    Candidates are encouraged to perform research in dedicated laboratory space that engages our talented undergraduate students.

    The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidates.
