- Assist in the development, optimization, and qualification of analytical assays.
- Assist in the conduct of routine laboratory assays, such as ELISAs, cell-based assays, and bioassays.
- Assist in preparing antigen, vaccine and/or adjuvant formulations according to protocols.
- Collect and document research data, maintaining laboratory notebooks.
- Assist in writing ROPs, SOPs and documentation related to assays/procedures as needed.
- Assist in general laboratory maintenance, including ordering supplies and preparing reagent solutions.
- Assist other projects in the department or from other departments as assigned.
- Pursuing a BS or BA in life sciences or related field; with preference given to 3rd and 4th year students.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Writing skills include routine communications and technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small groups and lab meetings Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT) as well as job related electronic systems/applications.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and protocol development, with adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand and sit.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Normal office environment with occasional exposure to laboratory and pharm environments.
- Valid Driver's license required for occasional travel between SAB site locations.
