    General Job Summary

    The Commercial Credit Intern is responsible for utilizing the Bank's system to spread and analyze borrower's financial statements and assist in preparing detailed credit presentations. This position is also responsible for assisting in the quality preparation of monthly management reporting. The Commercial Credit Intern is also responsible for assisting in vendor management with the completion of Vendor Credit Reviews. The position provides support and backup to other Credit Administration functions.

    Summary of Essential Job Functions
    • Review, spread and analyze borrower's and prospective borrower's financial statements for new credit requests, renewals, and annual credit review situations.
    • Analyze Dunn and Bradstreet Business Information Reports to complete Basic Vendor Credit Reviews for all divisions of the Bank.
    • Review and analyze financials to complete Third Party Originator Credit Reviews for the warehouse lending division.
    • Assist in the review of real estate appraisals and evaluations for consumer and commercial real estate loans.
    • Prepare the following reports without error:
    • Record of Loan Approvals
    • Loans Approved / Funded Report
    • Available Balance Lines
    Other Job Functions
    • Obtain and analyze Dunn and Bradstreet Business Information Reports and Credit Reports as requested.
    • All other duties as assigned by management.
    • Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
    Requirements

    Education, Training and Work Experience
    • Currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in business or related field, or similar experience.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent organizational, time management & analytical skills.
    • Able to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
    • Proficient in MS Office products (particularly Excel & Word).
    • Thorough understanding of financial statements.
    • Able to prioritize, has a sense of urgency.
    • High degree of accuracy.
    • High degree of dependability.
    • Ability to manage highly confidential information.
    • Able to effectively problem solve.
    • Excellent organizational, time management & analytical skills.
    • Provide professional communication in both oral & written expression.
    Working Environment

    Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at managements sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.

    Physical Requirements
    • Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
    • Travel by foot in outdoor environments where it can slippery/etc.
    • Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk).
    • Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard).

    The pay range for this role takes into consideration a wide range of factors including but not limited to the duties of the role, experience, location, and certificates and/or education. The target wage this position is between $16.00 to $19.00 per hour.
