Quality Manager
Summary:
Provide technical support evaluating nonconforming products to determine the failure modes, and the repair and rework operations required. QE Intern will be required to document the original Job Number, nonconformance description, and actions required. Focus will be primarily on Non-conforming Gas Turbine parts that are in the Material Review Board (MRB) process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate with Operations personnel, Quality Engineers and Manufacturing Engineering to determine the failure mode. Investigate and determine the failure mode and original Job Number for each nonconforming part.
Document manufacturing operations required to return the nonconforming parts back into tolerance.
Organize nonconforming parts to facilitate the rework operations.
Manage the return of parts back to Customers through the MRB process.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Experience in Quality and/or working with manufacturing quality requirements, specifications, tolerance limits, etc.
Experience performing inspections using hand tools and gages (drop indicators, dial test indicators, caliper, micrometers).
Self-starter, internally motivated to support Quality in a timely fashion.
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a supportive manufacturing role.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Solid knowledge base of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to speak effectively with all levels of the company.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in an aerospace sector.
Previous experience in manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols and customer specifications.
Experience applying print standards and GD&T towards product inspection.
Experience with the use of metrology tools and gages for inspection.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of college Engineering curriculum.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in an aerospace sector.
Previous experience in manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols and customer specifications.
Experience applying print standards and GD&T towards product inspection.
Experience with the use of metrology tools and gages for inspection.
Physical Demands
On a daily basis, must be able flex between remaining in a stationary position and/or standing, bending, twisting, and stooping on the manufacturing floor for long periods of time depending on the day, task and business need.

Working Environment
Usual manufacturing environment with temperature fluctuations, noise from and interactions with equipment, and safety standards of PPE and practices required.
