Summary
The Systems Imaging and Bioinformatics Laboratory in the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics, University of Michigan is seeking a research associate to develop analysis workflows for multiplatform genomic and imaging datasets.
The RA will be responsible for development of genomic and image analysis workflows as well as predictive models to relate phenotypes and genetics with clinical outcomes.
Multiple collaborative opportunities are available at the University. Our collaborators include clinicians and methodologists at the University, including the Michigan Institute for Data Science (MIDAS). Additional opportunities for collaboration are available with faculty in the Radiation Oncology and Statistics departments.Mission Statement

Required Qualifications*A Master's degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, electrical engineering, imaging physics, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or related field. In exceptional circumstances, a Bachelor's candidate with relevant experience can also be considered.
Desired Qualifications*The ideal candidate will have familiarity with modeling of genomics (bulk and single-cell RNAseq, epigenomic, and spatial transcriptomics/profiling) data.
Additional desirable qualities include the ability to effectively work both independently and in a team, good communication skills, and a deep commitment for methodology development in the context of cancer bioinformatics.
