Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Ortho-Neuro Unit. The unit comprises 33 private rooms with a patient ratio of 1 to 6. The preferred applicant will have prior experience with ortho patients and PCA pumps. EPIC experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients receiving elective surgeries such as hips, knees, shoulders, along with neuro-surgeries and general MedSurg care.
• Administering medications and titrating IV fluids and PCA pumps as required.
• Working alongside Patient Care Techs to manage patient care effectively.
• Collaborating with Charge Nurse and other staff for optimal patient care delivery.
• Monitoring changes in patient status and reacting accordingly while documenting via EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with ortho patients and PCA pumps is essential.
• Prior MedSurg experience is highly advantageous.
