- A medical staff of more than 150 surgeons who are board certified or eligible for certification
- Anesthesiologists who specialize in pediatric care
- Registered nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support; many of the registered nurses are certified in their areas of specialty, such as operating room and recovery room nursing
- Surgical technologists and assistants who are specially trained to assist the physicians
- We are Joint Commission certified
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an ADN or a BSN in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience). A BSN is preferred.
- A current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.
- Three years of current post-anesthesia or critical care experience is required.
- Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
- PALS certifications required within 1 year of employment.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Must possess good eyesight, hearing, emotional stability, physical endurance and dexterity in order to draw meds, use phone, and write messages.
- Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours, and lift and move large pieces of equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and remain mentally alert for accurate judgment
