    The UCC Lien Specialist for Dobbs Equipment plays a crucial role in protecting the company's assets by ensuring that all high-value machinery sales and leases are properly secured under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.

    The key responsibilities of this position include:

    • Lien Research: Conducting pre-sale searches to identify potential conflicts with existing liens on customers' businesses. This requires an in-depth understanding of UCC Article 9, specifically related to 'Goods' and 'Equipment' categories.
    • Portfolio Management: Monitoring the five-year expiration cycle of filings and processing necessary paperwork to maintain priority. This involves staying up-to-date with relevant federal and state laws affecting bankruptcy.
    • Lien Releases: Promptly filing termination documents once a customer has fulfilled their payment obligations, guaranteeing a clear title for the equipment.

    Qualifications:

    • A valid driver's license is required for travel-related tasks (less than 15% of work time).
    • An associate's or bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field is preferred, along with at least two years of experience in equipment finance documentation, commercial lending, or heavy equipment dealership financing departments.
    • Familiarity with lien management software (e.g., Lien Solutions) and CRM systems is also desirable.
