    **Description**

    KVC Hospitals offers psychiatric inpatient and residential treatment services for children and adolescents in a modern, safe, secure and child-friendly environment. We are seeking a Food Service Worker to join our team.

    **Now hiring for the following weekend shifts:**

    Saturday-Sunday 7am-3pm

    Saturday-Sunday 11am-7pm

    Saturday-Sunday 7am-7pm

    The Food Service Worker will prepare the recommended foods for the children in KVC care. The environment can be compared to the lunchroom of a small school for children with behavioral health issues. Duties include arranging food and beverages on steam tables, a la carte trays or mobile carts to make items available; clean utensils, cooking and storage equipment; and clean and sanitize serving areas each day.

    **Pay rate starts at $12 an hour. Must be 21 years old to apply.**

    **Minimum Requirements:**

    Must be at least 21 years old.

    **Education:** High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) from an accredited high school.

    **Licensure/Certification:** Valid drivers license and auto insurance.

    **Experience:** One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check required.

The employee is occasionally required to sit for intermittent amounts of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    KVC Hospitals is a nonprofit network of childrens psychiatric hospitals and residential treatment facilities in Kansas and Missouri. Each year we serve thousands of youth 6 to 18 who are experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, childhood trauma and other mental health needs.
