    Job Description Salary:

    WHAT YOU'LL DO
    Our Systems Development Engineers have an insatiable desire to make things better, constantly dissatisfied with the status quo.

    They love to tinker and are undeterred by the idea of breaking something if it means possibly improving it In this role, you'll be the glue that connects the design and production phases of our engineering process, you'll immediately contribute to developing unorthodox products by:

    Contributing to multidisciplinary development teams to design new and improve existing products with challenging expectations in a timely manner
    Creating, managing, and executing product validation plans including, but not limited to life, FMEA, field (boat testing), and vibration/sound testing
    Providing technical leadership to help troubleshoot and diagnose product design issues prior to product launch
    Creating innovative test procedures and helping automate long-term testing to accelerate project timelines
    Designing, building, and/or spec'ing test apparatus and infrastructure
    Developing systems expertise on Seakeeper's current and future products
    Mentoring other Systems Engineers
    Effectively communicating test results, observations, and conclusions in a clear and intuitive way.
    Documenting and cataloging collected data for future use
    Generating 2D system schematics for development specifications and engineering drawings

    MUST-HAVES
    Bachelor's degree in engineering with an electrical, mechanical, or computer science discipline
    5+ years of experience in Electro-Mechanical or Hydraulic Systems Validation or Development
    A mechanical aptitude, ability to wire electrical systems, and being hands-on with the product (it's going to be dirty sometimes)
    Data analysis skills and experience utilizing programs such as Python, MATLAB, and/or DIAdem
    Experience running experiments or validating products in a lab environment
    FMEA participation experience
    A strong understanding of hydraulic or electrical circuits
    Capable of thinking systematically and documenting processes, procedures, and test results
    Thrive in a collaborative team environment, but also be effective working independently
    Motivated to improve both yourself and those around you
    Passion to bring new products into production

    NICE-TO-HAVES
    10+ years of product validation experience
    Experience leading FMEA
    Experience generating 2D Electrical or Hydraulic Schematics
    Knowledge of EMI/EMC regulations and/or testing experience


    MORE DETAILS YOU'LL WANT TO KNOW
    This role will be based onsite in Leesport, PA 5 days a week
    You'll report to the Gyro Development Engineering Manager, also based in PA
    In this role, you'll have the opportunity to be exposed to other engineering disciplines with the option to dig into other areas of product development should you have an interest


    YOUR TEAM
    This position is nestled within our Gyro Product Engineering Department. It is a small, but mighty team that covers a lot of ground.

    It is a flat team, managing projects through an Agile workflow that allows maximum exposure to a variety of projects and systems within the group.

    The team is comprised of engineers with varying backgrounds and specialties including hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, software, controls and more with a heavy emphasis on collaboration.

    You'll be able to be involved in a myriad of projects and participate in program management instead of only owning a small defined piece of the process.
