    Bilingual Spanish Case Aide – Mi Futuro (Office of Refugee Resettlement Shelter)

    Salary Range: $20.49- $21.80/hour

    Full Time: M-F, possibility for some weekends (day shift)

    Seeking Bilingual Spanish Speaking Candidate with office experience to support the case management team and unaccompanied youth at our long term group home location.

    Morrison Child and Family Services is a non-profit organization providing a continuum of trauma-informed, culturally responsive programs and services for youth and families in residential, shelter, respite, foster care, community & school-based outpatient, family preservation, and prevention services.     ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

    ORR Immigrant Youth Services - Shelter Our shelter is well equipped to comfortably house and care for up to 25 youth at a time. The youth are place in our residential facility by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) with the main purpose of assessing and completing family reunification in a timely manner. In our residential facility, the youth have access to education, medical, case management, mental health, legal and religious services. The shelter serves adolescent boys and girls (11 – 17 years of age) who primarily arrive from Latin American countries, and occasionally from other countries such as Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

    The Case Aide works closely with the Case Management team in order to facilitate completion of all ORR requirements for case management for youth in care. This includes contact with sponsors regarding family reunification packet completion, records requests, internal case file audits, involvement in the medical services, data entry, meetings with clients, organizing case files, filing, scheduling fingerprint appointments. The Case Aide provides administrative support to the client's family, as well as help prepare and process forms, applications and other paperwork as needed. In addition, this position may transport clients, among other assigned tasks.

    Job Duties:

    • Works closely with case management department providing:
      • Clerical responsibilities including data entry, completing reports, tracking, filing, form completion
      • Client and sponsor interviews to fill out ORR required documentation for digital fingerprints
      • Duties necessary for department completion of case management functions under the supervision of the Lead Case Manager and other members of the CM team.
    • Assists Administrative Coordinator with duties such as database entry and case file requests. Attending Quality Improvement and administrative meetings as needed.

    Experience/Education Requirements

    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required (Diploma, GED or college transcripts required step of hiring process)
    • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English required.
    • Minimum 2 years consecutive office experience preferred.
    • Experience working with adolescents preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications not required

    • Child welfare and/or case management experience is strongly encouraged.

    Other Requirements:

    • Pass a DHS criminal history background
    • Meet agency driving requirements if driving.
    • Language testing, if applicable

    Physical Requirements:

    • Position may be traveling by car and plane.
    • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the inside of the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
    • The person in this position frequently communicates with clients and outside stakeholders Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
    • May move equipment or files weighing up to 30 pounds around site
