    Reporting to the Community Relations Director, the Volunteer Services Coordinator I carries out essential volunteer services tasks under moderate supervision, demonstrating organizational skills and a proactive attitude. This role involves organizing and promoting volunteer programs, maintaining database records, training new volunteers, supporting fundraising activities, managing donation records, and fulfilling any other duties as directed by the supervisor.


    Essential Job Functions:
    • Attends work consistently and follows assigned shift schedules
    • Assists in onboarding and organizing orientation sessions for volunteers and medical students
    • Coordinates onboarding of contract employees for state hospital
    • Manages daily operations for the Community Relations Department
    • Maintains Sales Force Volunteer and Donor database
    • Participates in fundraising efforts and prepares reports
    • Completes mandatory training and ensures an organized office filing system
    • Engages in disaster response support as needed

    Knowledge Skills Abilities:
    • Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities
    • Strong analytical and presentation skills
    • Familiarity with community organizations and administrative processes
    • Effective communication with the public and organizations
    • Proficiency in in-service training and resource identification
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Advanced computer skills, including virtual meeting software and social media platforms
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Capacity to implement administrative procedures effectively
