Job summary
The Quality and Design Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance by overseeing product inspection, managing the Quality Lab operations, and maintaining ISO compliance. This role applies engineering techniques to design, maintain or improve new and existing products and components. The engineer will interact across all organizational levels providing training and ensuring adherence to quality documents procedures.Responsibilities include administering policies programs ensuring that the organizational products processes meet established quality standards participating in the development implementation administration of the organization's quality management system monitoring progress against strategic quality-related goals managing multiple quality issues from inception to resolution maintaining reporting Quality metrics to Management overseeing maintenance of company's ISO certification including managing rigorous internal audit schedule ensuring timely resolution of corrective actions gathering analyzing internal external feedback continuously improving processes products interfacing with external labs testing agencies as needed for compliance product approval processes aiding MSI Management conducting on/off site quality training participating in Management Review meetings representing company at corporate-level engineering quality functions engaging in engineering projects new product design initiatives providing input creating engineering documentation including product specifications inspection procedures product approvals assisting assuring that products components materials meet applicable industry standards application requirements developing coordinating testing plans prototypes first article samples assess ing performance completing necessary documents fully accurately maintain compli ance facilitate effective communication following safety environmental policies proce dures ensure safe compliant work environment performing other duties assigned support overall goals organization.
