    Position details- Registered Nurse- Cardiac Stepdown (PCU)

    • Location: Clearwater, FL
    • Facility: Morton Plant Hospital
    • Status: Full Time, Non Exempt
    • Shift: Days
    • Every other weekend required
    • On Call: No
    • Always in person

    The Registered Nurse- Cardiac Stepdown (PCU) responsibilities and skills:

    • Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
    • Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
    • Care for patients throughout their recovery.
    • Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
    • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
    • Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
    • Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
    • High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient.
    • Professional accountability and development


    Requirements:

    • RN (Registered Nurse) License
    • Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
    • 1-year RN experience in an Acute Care setting (or 6 months with prior LPN experience)
    • BLS certification
    • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
