    Title: Senior UNIX Administrator

    Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid)

    Duration: 6 month C2H

    Rate: $45/hr on W2 all inc || Salary Up to 98k

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a Senior UNIX Administrator who will provide technical leadership in the design, implementation, and support of a broad range of information systems. This role involves effective administration of the existing IT solutions while also performing high-level system analysis and design for new technical solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing support strategies for on-premises and AWS infrastructure, middleware tools, GIS infrastructure, and customer applications. The candidate will collaborate with other technical departments and personnel, provide guidance and advice where needed, and be responsible for the support of infrastructure, systems, and applications.

    Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

    Develop and lead the implementation of technical services support solutions.

    Support development, test, and production environments on-premises and in AWS for enterprise-scale applications.

    Support development activities for multiple enterprise-level custom application development groups.

    Participate in day-to-day change, release, incident, and problem management activities.

    Collaborate with development groups on system designs, improvements, and implementations.

    Evaluate new technology solutions and develop hardware/software recommendations.

    Develop and monitor standards and best practices for allocation and use of computing resources.

    Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support for on-premises and AWS systems and services.

    Required Skills:

    US Citizen or Green Card holder required per contract and must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, MIS, or related field or equivalent experience.

    Excellent presentation, written and verbal communications skills with ability to interface at all levels of government personnel.

    Ten years+ of experience in the development, testing, implementation and support of enterprise-level computer solutions.

    Five years+ of UNIX/Linux sysadmin experience supporting medium to large development, test, and production environments.

    Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple work efforts.

    Knowledge and experience with the Linux OS, kernel, patching, and software management.

    Experience with enterprise-scale design, load-testing, capacity planning, and ensuring SLA's are met.

    Working knowledge of networking services such as: NFS, DNS, LDAP, NTP, etc.

    Experience scripting in bash, ksh, awk, Perl, Python, etc.

    Experience developing and implementing process improvements and automated solutions.

    Experience with system design, implementation, and support of highly available custom applications.

    Desired Skills:

    Experience with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).

    Experience with Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, Java/Spring, and Adobe ColdFusion.

    Experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise products/technologies.

    Experience with HA, virtualization, and cloud/elastic solutions.

    Experience with stress testing and performance metrics collection and analysis.

    Experience with NetScaler or other load balancing appliances.

    Experience with large-scale project management processes and tools.

    AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent experience.

    Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform experience.
