Position Summary
As an Aerial Lift Operations Foreperson, you will play a crucial role in supporting the removal and maintenance of trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways. This dynamic position involves operating a bucket truck to access branches that may be obstructing electric lines. Additionally, you will engage with various tools such as chainsaws, pruners, and brush chippers, and may have opportunities to climb trees utilizing appropriate climbing equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities Include

Essential Duties:

• Adhere to safety practices and regulations while clearing and trimming trees and brush from utility lines.
• Apply herbicides selectively to control brush and stumps.
• Skillfully operate and maintain equipment and tools, including hydraulic tools, power tools, bucket trucks, chippers, and sprayers.
• Execute tree and bucket rescue operations as needed.
• Provide training and support to new personnel.
• Be adaptable, as duties may evolve over time.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• Experience in mechanical work is a plus.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is mandatory.
• Strong foundation in tree groundwork skills, especially pruning and removal.
• Capability to complete proficiency tests involving climbing, knot tying, and chainsaw upkeep.
• Extensive knowledge of safe chainsaw, chipper, and stump grinder operation.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record based on Company standards.
• Comprehension of job functions and core responsibilities.
• Attention to detail and effective organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication capabilities.
• Problem-solving aptitude and physical stamina to meet job demands.
• Compliance with drug and alcohol screening as mandated by Company and DOT regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old, or 21 for CDL positions.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
