Description
Job DescriptionThe Oncology Nurse Navigator functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team of care providers who reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The Navigator is responsible for coordinating the interdisciplinary team of providers to best serve the newly diagnosed cancer patient. This process includes assessment, education, and continuity of care for the patient and family. In collaboration with the Medical Director of Cancer Services, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and appropriate specialists, coordinates patient services and outreach components of the program. This includes monitoring patients through screening programs and following patients diagnosed through their cancer treatment and survivorship.
Qualifications
Graduate of School of Nursing, Bachelor's in nursing required.
Experience: Five or more years of experienceas an RN in a Health Care setting. Oncology nursing experience preferred.
