    Job DescriptionHuman Resource Generalist

    We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong emphasis on payroll to join our client's team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in managing various human resources functions with a primary focus on payroll processing and administration. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a solid background in payroll management and HR administration to contribute to the success of our organization. This is a Direct Hire role near Palatine, IL.

    Responsibilities:
    • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees, including calculations of hours worked, deductions, and taxes.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll processing, tax withholding, and reporting.
    • Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
    • Assist with various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
    • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
    • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Coordinate employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
    • Stay current with changes in labor laws, regulations, and industry trends related to payroll and HR administration.
    • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, filings, and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
    • Provide support to employees regarding payroll inquiries, benefits administration, and HR-related policies and procedures.
    • Serve as a point of contact for payroll and HR-related questions and concerns, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
    • Manage and maintain the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and integrity of employee data.
    • Collaborate with IT or external vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement system updates or enhancements.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration with a focus on payroll processing.
    • Proficiency in payroll software/systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and MS Office Suite.
    • Strong understanding of payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Job Details:
    • Direct Hire
    • Monday-Friday, hybrid AFTER training
    • Pay is $55k- $65k depending on experience

    Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
