    The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has responsibility for the development and successful execution of the company's medical strategy and for leading the organization's medical-related activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient care and outcomes.

    In partnership with the CEO, the CMO will achieve effective results through recruiting and leading a best-in-class and cohesive medical team, while applying best medical practices across the organization.

    • Possess the ingenuity, energy, and knowledge required to propel the company to the next level and will drive change as required throughout the organization.
    • Accelerate growth while focusing on quality patient care and service delivery.
    • Responsible for all medical policies, directives, rules, regulations, and clinical performance standards of the state, federal government, and accrediting bodies and serves as the organization's ultimate authority on medical topics.
    • Accountable for and provides professional leadership and direction to the utilization/cost management and clinical quality management functions.
    • Work collaboratively with other functions that interface with medical management such as provider relations, member services, benefits, and claims management.
    • Contribute in short- and long-range strategic planning, accreditation and regulatory functions, total quality management, and external community relationships.

    Education Qualifications:

    • MD or DO with an active/clear US medical license required.
    • BC/BE in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology preferred.
    • Psychiatrist in any US state preferred.

    Professional Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of director-level leadership experience required.
    • 10+ years of experience as a CMO (or equivalent) in a large, complex hospital or regional health system.
    • Ability to blend medical knowledge and experience with business knowledge and experience to create unique strategies for the organization.
    • Experience working with the following:
      • Eating disorder population is strongly preferred.
      • Mental Health / Behavioral Health is strongly preferred.
      • Case management, patient bed management, or patient experience is strongly preferred.
      • Inpatient, residential, and lower-level care settings preferred.
