- 2+ years of industrial painting experience preferred in a heavy industrial or automotive environment
- Experience painting on metals such as Mild Steel, Aluminum, Cast Iron, etc.
- Ability to read work orders or receive instructions from the supervisor
- Must be able to pass a Physical and a Respirator fitting (expense covered by company)
- Reads work orders or receives instructions from supervisor or homeowner regarding painting.
- Smoothes surfaces and prepares surfaces to paint.
- Selects premixed paints or mixes required portions of pigment, oil, thinning, and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors.
- Spreads drop cloths over floors and windows, rubber components, etc, with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.
- Paint the surface with a spray gun.
- Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
- Washes and prepares surfaces before painting.

NW Employment is partnered with a Veteran owned Heavy Equipment manufacturing company in Sherwood, OR and we are looking to add Industrial Painters to join our teamSchedule: Monday – Friday, 5am – 1:30pm
Starting Pay: $23.00+ DOE
What you will do:
The skilled individual will carefully mix and apply multiple layers of paint on the outer surface of a wide range of manufactured products, including but not limited to winches, log stackers, chip dozers, marine cranes, long-reach forklift attachments, and balers. The process will involve using specialized tools and techniques to ensure a smooth and consistent finish while protecting the products from environmental factors such as corrosion and wear and tear.
Qualifications:
Pre-employment physical, background check, drug screen and a respirator exam will be required
