    Job Details


    The Mammographic Technologist will utilize their knowledge of screening and diagnostic mammography and be able to perform stereotactic biopsies in addition to localizations.

    He/she must relate well to others and be in compliance with MQSA standards.


    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns, and extraneous radiation.
    • Responsible to the safe handling of equipment.
    • Instructs and prepares patients for breast procedures
    • Selects appropriate equipment to use for procedure
    • Makes special radiographic examinations requiring special equipment and procedures such as mammographies, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsies.
    • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
    • Employs correct film labeling and lead markers and evaluates images for proper diagnostic quality.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent and two years of x-ray training in a certified school
    • NYS x-ray license, ARRT and mammography registry
    • Knowledge of Epic and Magview
    • At least 2 years mammography experience
    Salary Range

    USD $ USD $58.80 /Hr.


    This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.

    The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
