Our Gig Harbor, Washington transportation engineering group is seeking a dynamic and driven transportation engineer with great problem-solving skills and a desire to provide technical oversight and project design expertise as we execute a wide variety of projects.

What you'll be doing
Ensure quality delivery of project documents.
Work closely with project managers and principals to translate clients' needs into design documents that reflect their vision while meeting industry and jurisdictional standards.
Many projects do not have a prescriptive solution; therefore, developing design alternatives and using different techniques to serve our clients is crucial.
Lead design and technical staff in preparation of PS&E and ensure coordination with senior-level staff and that our QA/QC process is followed.
Set and manage client expectations; communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate options when project challenges arise; represent the company in project meetings; effectively facilitate team and client meetings; and develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client loyalty.
What you bring:
A Professional Engineering (PE) license and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
5+ years of progressively responsible transportation engineering experience
AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
A passion for serving others, communication, creativity, and a commitment to high-quality work
Independence and initiative
The ability to organize and delegate
Strong communication and leadership skills
A healthy balance of logic and creativity
