    Financial Analyst - San Francisco, United States - Institute on Aging

    This position will have an active role in monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections.

    The ideal candidate must be able to gather data from various sources and present it in a clear and concise format for management.

    The duties and responsibilities of the Financial Analyst include, but are not limited to the following:

    Tracking actual expenses and revenues vs. budget and forecasting and analyzing fluctuations
    Preparing monthly consolidation and executive financial package
    Assisting in the budget & forecast processes
    Evaluating revenue and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed
    Developing, maintaining and distributing ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
    Recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
    Consolidating and analyzing financial data, taking into account the organization's goals and financial standing
    Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
    Gathering important company data from various sources and compiling it into meaningful reports or dashboards for various stakeholders
    Working with stakeholders from various business units to determine financial feasibility of project or initiative
    Working with internal customers to determine reporting needs and translating those needs into system/process requirements
    Working with internal customer to create, publish and track KPIs


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
    At least three years' experience.
    Knowledge of corporate finance and information analysis
    Accounting/GAAP knowledge
    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
    Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
    Outstanding presentation, reporting and oral and written communication skills
    Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
    Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
    Expert user in Tableau Desktop Publishing
    NetSuite and Adaptive is a plus but not required


    Compensation:

    Range:
    $ 110, ,675.25/annual


    This amount is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on actual experience, education and other factors.

    This range does not include any additional equity, benefits, or other non-monetary compensation which may be included.
