- Perform bariatric surgery evaluations and assesses candidacy for such procedures through the diagnoses, evaluation and treatment of mental and emotional disorders using ASMBS and APA guidelines.
- Administer evidence-based treatment modalities to prepare such individuals for surgery.
- Provides clinical supervision of predoctoral interns and/or graduate practicum students in the practice of psychology.
- Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collaborate with bariatrics' staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Experience and/or training with bariatric population, integrated behavioral health and/or Clinical Health psychology.
- Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and completion of APA Accredited Pre-Doctoral Clinical Internship.
- Holds a clinical psychology license in the state of Pennsylvania, or eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure, as documented by out-of-state licensure.
- DEA and CPR Certification required prior to employment.

AHN is seeking a full-time Health Psychologist to provide services to our bariatric patients. Sit within an interdisciplinary, outpatient bariatric clinic affiliated with the AHN Surgery Institute, providing a variety of high quality, evidence-based mental health services to people needing surgical weight loss. Collaborate closely with other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team (e.g., physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, patient access coordinators) to provide evidence-based, comprehensive mental health treatment to the patient.
