Staff Accountant

About the Company and Staff Accountant Opportunity:

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Process invoices for accounts payable, including a 3-way match and weekly check run
• Send invoices to customers and follow up on overdue payments via email and phone-call
• Reconcile credit card statements and balance sheet accounts at month-end
• Prepare month-end journal entries
• File sales tax returns on a quarterly basis

Preferred Qualifications and Experience for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Thorough understanding of GAAP
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
