Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NodeJS or similar JavaScript frameworks, Typescript, and extensive knowledge of databases and cloud services.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining highly performant backend systems, ensuring seamless integration with our front-end services, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our technology stack.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in sprint planning, code reviews, database architecture
Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
Implement performance and quality modules to ensure robustness, scalability, and high performance of backend services.
Work with Postgres and NoSQL databases to design and optimize data storage solutions.
Utilize containers, Docker, and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration of services.
Build and maintain products on AWS, ensuring best practices in security, reliability, and scalability.
Implement GraphQL for optimized data querying and manipulation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with front-end applications.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Aiding in decisions on tech stack (performance, optimization, tools, etc)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience working with NodeJS or similar JavaScript backend frameworks and Typescript.
Proven experience in building highly performant NodeJS/ Express backends.
Strong understanding of Postgres & NoSQL databases.
Proficient in working with containers, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Demonstrated experience building products on AWS.
Experience with GraphQL is a must.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation
$90,000 to $110,000 annually
Based on the candidate's experience, seniority, and location
The total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave
