Project Architect - Specification Writing

Dedicated to elevating the human experience through design, DLR Group seeks a seasoned Project Architect specializing in specification writing.

This role coordinates with architects, engineers, and other specialty consultants to prepare project specifications for bidding and construction. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and management of project manual development for large and small projects.
Coordinating with project teams across multiple offices and project types to produce high-quality work products.
Staying current on product developments, new materials, code changes, and industry trends to provide expertise to project teams.
Mentorship and support to team members.
Extensive knowledge of professional practice from concept design through project close-out.
Design aptitude, organizational skills, communication skills, and collaboration with others effectively.

Required Qualifications

Ten or more years of architectural practice experience with a minimum of five years of experience writing architectural project specifications.
Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program.
Construction Documents Technology (CDT) certification.
Knowledge of applicable construction codes and procedures.
Knowledge of CSI's Project Delivery Practice Guide and AIA's The Architect's Handbook to Professional Practice.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional License/Registered Architect.
Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) certification.
LEED, WELL Accreditation.
Experience in REVIT, CAD computer modeling, and rendering software.

The estimated salary for this position is $100,000-$120,000 USD per year.
