Job summary
Own overall purchasing and inventory performance to support production schedules and business objectives Lead the Purchasing Manager who oversees purchasing agents and day-to-day procurement activities Oversee sourcing supplier selection contract negotiations and supplier performance Ensure timely availability of raw materials components MRO services Lead the inventory team establish clear processes for inventory control accuracy accountability Monitor inventory levels turns excess obsolete material drive continuous improvement Own cycle count programs year-end physical inventory Partner with Production Fabrication Engineering Quality Finance to support manufacturing operations Monitor market conditions pricing trends supply risks develop mitigation plans as needed Ensure purchasing data accuracy within ERP/MRP systems Prepare review purchasing reports KPIs cost-savings initiatives Ensure compliance company policies quality standards regulatory requirements
