    Job Description and Duties

    PARK MAINTENANCE CHIEF iii – CENTRAL VALLEY district / cOLUMBIA STATE HISTORIC PARK

    The reporting location for the Park Maintenance Chief III is the Central Valley District Office, Columbia, CA. This position will work under the direction of the District Superintendent.

    This position is responsible for the maintenance and technical service function of the District. This position coordinates all district maintenance, equipment, water/sewage, and technical programs; submits and recommends maintenance priorities for district projects and oversees Maximo and PID. This is a fast-paced working office, and the successful candidate should have the ability to work as a strong team member with other supervisory staff.

    Travel is required. Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.

    Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

    This position is designated as not telework eligible.

    This position requires a valid Class C driver's license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver's license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

    The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

    Working Conditions

    Travel is required to perform duties in park units and at district offices throughout the district. Outdoor work is common. Typical work activities involve frequent and prolonged periods of standing and walking. Perform indoor and outdoor work. Emergency response during times of natural disaters
