Bowers Lead Carpenter / Site Managers run one project at a time, beginning to end

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Residential Lead Carpenter / Site Manager to oversee residential construction projects from start to finish. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled carpenters and tradespeople, coordinate daily operations on-site, and ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your expertise in carpentry, construction management, and site supervision will drive the successful delivery of residential renovations, restorations, and custom builds. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills while working on diverse projects that transform homes and improve communities. Bowers Production Manager oversees all ongoing sites, usually 6 at one time, and along with the rest of the Team is there to support the Lead Carpenter / Site Manager.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise all aspects of residential construction sites, including framing, trim carpentry, siding, roofing, drywall installation, and finishing work.
  • Work with in-house Design-Estimating-Production fellow Team members to proactively manage your project production schedule, timely materials procurement, and subcontractor activities to ensure timely progress.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution accurately. Collaborate with the internal Architect-Design Team as issues arise. (No waiting for outside 3rd party Architects or Designers)
  • Oversee quality control by inspecting work for adherence to safety standards, building codes, and client specifications.
  • Manage on-site safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Handle hands-on tasks depending on project size. Approximately 30% hands on work, less when assigned larger projects.
  • Communicate effectively and in a positive nature with clients, suppliers, and fellow team members to resolve issues promptly and maintain project momentum.

Qualifications

  • Great communication skills for coordinating and communicating with clients and fellow Team members effectively and in a positive nature. We're all on the same team mentality
  • Proven experience in residential construction with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as framing, trim carpentry, cabinetry installation, and roofing.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience managing construction crews or site teams or aspire to lead projects.
  • Ability to read detailed blueprints and schematics, specifications.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), and restoration industry standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in project documentation and reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $100,000.00 per year
