    Global's Gasoline Distribution and Store Operations (GDSO) business continues to grow organically and by acquisition. We are looking to add a Business Intelligence Strategist to our existing Strategy and Controls Team. The Business Intelligence Strategist will report to the Vice President of Strategy and Controls. You will also work closely with Legal and Operations.

    The Business Intelligence Strategist is a linchpin within Global Partners, adept at transforming complex data into digestible business insights and visualizations that guide strategic decision making and KPI management.

    In this critical role, you serve as the subject matter expert for the Strategy and Controls team as it supports its internal teams within the Gasoline Distribution and Store Operations business segment.

    This involves creating analytics in our BI tools that allow the creation of actionable strategies and overseeing the translation of business needs into analytical work product.

    As the bridge of understanding, the Business Intelligence Analyst is charged with understanding multiple business lines, interpreting nuanced data sets, communicating the value of analytical findings, and harmonizing the objectives of diverse stakeholders.

    You will orchestrate the collaborative efforts of cross-functional teams, refine our reporting architectures, build visualizations, and advocate for the intelligent deployment of machine learning models.

    Your toolkit should include a solid foundation in analytics, an adeptness with Tableau, and familiarity with the contemporary data ecosystem (including tools like dbt, Snowflake, and SQL).

    A proficient communicator, you can distill complex concepts into clear visual narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.

    Identify and build calculations and cross referencing necessary for creating and presenting the most impactful KPI's.
    Organizing, streamline and automate the delivery of data.
    Create Tableau visualizations and dashboards that are pressure tested for accuracy.

    Provide Tableau dashboards that allow Operations and other teams to filter and select the data sets that are most relevant to them.

    Use statistical and quantitative analysis of data as well as explanatory and predictive modeling.
    Develop, evaluate, and refine analytic models using data to address business needs.

    Identify the highest value business problems and questions which, when answered, will yield significant value (cost savings, increased customer satisfaction, process efficiency, optimization of resources etc.)Identify sources of data needed for key business problems and their locations, structure, accessibility and readiness for aggregation.

    Drive strategic decisions by advocating for change that is based on data driven insightsCreate an approach to effectively prioritize projects that provide the most value and are aligned with corporate goals.

    Develop business goals that further analytical capabilities for process efficiency and customer engagement.

    Use Tableau to translate Data & Analytics outputs into actionable business insights and visualization Standard analytical methodologies, including statistical tests for hypothesis testing and validation, across the GDSODefine analytical requirements with GDSO business units, ensuring data models align with business needs for actionable insights Engage with [$BUSINESS UNIT] leadership to understand their data needs, ensuring the delivery of tailored analytics solutions.

    Act as a key stakeholder in managing change requests, prioritization, and communication of milestones for Analytics & Data projects.

    Serve as the pivotal link between business units and the Central Data & Analytics org, translating complex data insights into actionable business strategies.

    Collaborate in defining data quality standards and governance policies, ensuring data practices comply with regulatory standards and meet business needs.

    Facilitate user acceptance testing of analytical tools, guaranteeing they meet business unit requirements.

    QUALIFICATIONSAn analytic mindset that is comfortable searching for answers and opportunities in large quantities of data from multiple sources.
    Demonstrated expertise in uncovering data insights and providing actionable business recommendations. Should possess the ability to draw meaningful narratives from data and transform them into visually compelling stories.

    An extremely fluent user of Tableau with capacity to create data source connections; visualizations; dashboards; key performance indicators; complex aggregations across data sources; and analytical commentary on the work product.

    Experience with Strong competency in handling complex datasets, paired with a proactive and adaptable approach to delivering insights with experimental design and measurement techniques like A/B testingThe role must maintain strict diligence toward accuracy of data and items reported on.

    A willingness to adopt a continual improvement mindset as visualizations and data integrity go through changes and improvement on a regular cadence.

    Extensive knowledge and working experience with Tableau is a must for this position. A Tableau analysis proficiency test will be a part of the interview process.

    Candidates will receive multiple data sources for joinder, visualization, and dashboarding with a subsequent half hour presentation on materials created.

    Knowledge of statistical analysis, presentation, software and documentation tools and methods.
    Excellent analytical skills and real-time problem-solving ability.
    Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in manipulating large data sets.
