The Fire Chief provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight within a career fire department to ensure high-quality fire suppression emergency medical services rescue operations fire prevention and emergency preparedness.Responsibilities
- Establish departmental goals policies and procedures consistent with city objectives.
- Evaluate programs for training firefighting personnel in the proper methods of firefighting Hazmat EMS rescue emergency management operations.
- Determine investigations into the causes of fires.
