PrideNow is currently hiring for an Electrician in the Belle Chasse, LA area.
Hours can be flexible, but are ideally 48 & 36
Hours: 7:00am-5:00pm (maybe more if plant is down)


Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical education or certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field preferred.
*Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in motor control systems maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Hands-on experience with motor control circuits, motor starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and related electrical components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting is a plus.
Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and arc flash safety.
Ability to identify and mitigate electrical hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
*Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in motor control systems efficiently.
Experience conducting root cause analyses to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
*Flexibility to work varying shifts, overtime, and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment advancements in the field of motor control.
*Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and parts inventory.
Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for documentation and tracking.
