Description
Prunes, trims and shapes trees. Uses power and hand saws; maintains tools and equipment. Climbs trees using ropes, ladders and tree spikes. Operates equipment that includes dump truck, bucket/pickup truck, front-end loader, tree stumper and chainsaws. Keeps tools and equipment used in good condition.QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of six (6) months of experience in tree trimming and/or tree nursery work.
PREFERENCE FOR:
Completion of related horticultural workshop/course (must specify on application any formal training in pruning/tree trimming/nursery work) ;one (1) year of experience in arbor work; experience working at heights greater than 100 feet; two (2) years of experience operating heavy duty earth-moving equipment, tree crane, bucket and/or dump truck; valid FL Class A/B CDL with Air Brakes.
