Job Description

As a Security Officer - Flex Entry Screener in Deptford, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Screener at a busy retail and mall location, you will welcome guests, support access control, and conduct entry screening while maintaining a highly visible presence. You will perform routine patrols of assigned areas, document and report security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with shoppers, tenants, and local teams. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall entertainment location.

Screen guests, employees, and/or deliveries at designated entry points, following site procedures for access control and prohibited items.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site management and/or emergency services as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the venue, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support orderly operations.

Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to the appropriate contacts, and assist with guest flow and queue management during peak periods.

Minimum Requirements:

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
