    Summary

    The VA Central Iowa Health Care System offers a complete range of services at the Des Moines campus and Community Based Outpatient Clinics. It is part of the VA Midwest Health Care Network (VISN 23).

    Duties

    Nursing Assistant -

    This is an ongoing announcement that will be open until 09/30/2024. Eligible applications will be reviewed regularly until positions are filled. The Central Iowa Health Care System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Primary Care with a strong clinical background. Responsibilities include:

    • Responding to emergency situations and assisting response teams
    • Completing assignments and reporting to supervisors
    • Using effective communication skills with patients
    • Assisting with patient procedures and ensuring safety measures are followed
    • Performing various medical tasks and recording observations
    • Handling patient specimens and equipment
    • Monitoring patient vitals and performing necessary tests
    • Adapting to changes in assignments

    Work Schedule:
