As a Tool and Die Machinist with us, you will get to use blueprints to determine project specifications, set up and operate machine tools, finish, and adjust parts and test tools to ensure quality standards are met.

You will also get to make use of your outstanding mechanical and mathematical skills while crafting tools and dies.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesA typical day may include:

Read sketches, blueprints, and specifications to plan operations for the fabrication of dies, tools, and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency.

Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometersUtilize conventional machining equipment to repair and modify jigs, and diesWork with engineer to help design templates and jigs to solve problems during production processTroubleshoot problems and perform repairs on tools, manually operated dies, and progressive dies.
