    Description

    It is the responsibility of this position to perform all pipe, vessel and structural assembly tasks required to complete a process equipment unit for client delivery.

    The purpose of the position is to mechanically assemble, pressure test and ensure the final assembled equipment is in accordance with the engineering documentation and within the time allocated in the production schedule, and according to GasTech Quality Requirements.

    It is the goal of the position to help establish the GasTech Manufacturing Department as the most highly respected process equipment group in the industries, and for the clients, we serve.


    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Fit-up/assemble all piping spoolsPerform hydro testingPerform pneumatic testingAssemble vessel internalsInstall/trial-fit external accessoriesPrepare equipment for shippingCut and prep pipe/structural componentsLoad/unload equipment for transportAbility to read drawings & P&IDsKnowledgeable of valves, instruments, ftgsAbility to lead others and plan aheadKnowledgeable of quality requirementsAbility to make correct decisionsSpeed of accomplishing tasksProper, professional housecleaningAbility to work safelyReliable and punctual attendance and a positive and cooperative attitudeRequirementsRequirementsExcellent pipe and structural assembly proficiency in pressure piping and process vessel manufacturing is required.

    A strong mechanical and piping aptitude, and previous experience in a similar role, are required.
    A high school or vocational school diploma or equivalent is required.
    A working knowledge of shop processes, materials, shop equipment and assembly tools is strongly preferred but not required.
    Higher vocational welding background is preferred but not required.
    Experience with ASME/ANSI Piping Codes is preferred but not required.
    Experience in an ISO 9000 environment is preferred but not required.
